New Headbands

The new toddler headbands are here! Suitable from newborns up to school age available for $9.95 each. They are available in the shop now! In stock are white, blue, yellow and pink. I also have bright red and lime green that I am yet to add. Please feel free to contact me for a custom order. You can add just about any bobble you like to your favourite coloured headband. The good news is custom orders do not cost extra!

Merry Christmas

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported Flirty Bird this year and wish you all a safe and happy Christmas, it has been a pleasure to get to know many of you. My Child Magazine

Look out for the ad in the summer edition of My Child Magazine. My favourite magazine hands down. I originally came Across My child when I was pregnant with my 1st child, my obstetrician had it in her waiting room and I hated when she called my name to go in for my checks as I was always in the middle of a great article or trying to memorise a great website. When looking for somewhere to advertise it just had to be with My Child and what a lovely team they are!

Girls Night In - South Australia

I received an email a few days ago from Kristen in South Australia. For the past 3 years she has put together a Girls Night In to raise funds for the Cancer Council Australia. It is held at Mt Carmel College (so if you are down that way get involved!). Kristen asked me if I would make a donation to the night after she saw Flirty Bird products in Penny Lane House of Hair.

Cancer has certainly affected my family and friends and touches just about everyone in one way or another so, I was more than happy to put together a hamper or goodies that I hope she will love! I also hope it stands up to the postman and is received OK...

I hope the night is a smash and can't wait to hear all about it!

I am pleased to announce that there are Barrette Clips in store now, look under the clip section. There are a few designs available, but if you are looking for another design apart from those listed in the shop just drop me an email to orders@flirtybird.com.au or fill out the contact page on the site. I am happy to make barrette clips in any design - any of the ponytail holders can be made into barrette's.

I have searched high and low for display stands to improve my little cube for In.cube8r Gallery in Melbourne. I thought that I should hurry since I have already been stocking my cube for a month now (where does the time go?) and Isy the owner has been so helpful with feedback. I am lucky to have a nice window cube so I purchased 10 clear stands to highlight some of the designs instead of having them all laying flat. They arrived at the gallery today so watch this space for a photo - coming soon. Also sent down some new designs to fill it up again.

I am excited to say that one of my stockists has launched her shop and what a lovely shop it is!

Penny Lane House of Hair

Penny Lane has a third order going out this week due to the last order of headbands selling out in one day! This order is SO adorable, there are cute Russian dolls on lime headbands, purple headbands with white spots and the good old cupcakes that everyone loves! I hope that everyone loves them as much as as the last order!

Christmas is on its way

We probably don't want to think too much about it just yet..but Santa is not long off packing up his sleigh once more (where has 2008 gone?) I thought that I should start thinking about a Christmas range so here is a sneak peek of the first ponytail holders... not in a traditional Christmas theme but still cute....little Gingerbread men!

The Green House Shop - Cairns

Gayle and Ann have been fabulous to work with on their first order. The Green House Shop will be 4 years in Cairns next month ( with 12 years at a previous location) and going strong with their cutting edge style, more hip than hippy products - but still proudly peace, love and brown rice. A real bonus is that a % of their profits get donated annually to local conservation groups. Check out their website for more information.

What a very cute range of standard ponytail holders including monkeys, Russian dolls, flowers and cherries that they picked out - very irresistible. I have added a picture of my favourite from their order. At the moment I cannot get enough of Russian dolls.

They where kind enough to send me some pictures of their shop - These are the kind of shops I love - lots of treasures, you could stop their for hours and see something new with every lap!
